MY SERVICES There is a growing need for a new kind of ceremony and ritual in this country. More and more people are not affiliated with a particular religious community. They want their ceremonies to reflect their lives and their values. There are also a growing number of couples and families who want to combine differing religious and cultural traditions. This is where I as a celebrant can help. I tailor my services to reflect your dreams. I research and write the ceremony with you. I depend on your input. I ask questions, make suggestions and give you many opportunities for feedback before the final ceremony is performed. I can help with vows, readings, music, special rituals, and presentation. I prepare a props list so you won’t forget an important item. I can even provide some myself. I direct the rehearsal. I truly believe rehearsals are important to prepare participants and put them at ease. I “choreograph” the performance. I think it’s very important that guests can see and hear everything that goes on. I can even give pointers in public speaking. I provide a PA system for large ceremonies. On the day of the ceremony, I coordinate everyone involved in it from the musicians to the participants. I even let the videographers know what the highlights and cues are going to be. Of course I officiate and help you through the ceremonial part of your special day. I am also prepared to handle unforeseen circumstances like a sudden illness or change in weather. I also act as MC so guests know how to find the reception area or the receiving line. I also provide you with a lovely keepsake copy of your ceremony after the event.
